Job description
For our client in Zeeland we are hiring a Tender Engineer Electrical & Automation.
As an Electrical & Automation Tender Engineer in the Proposals department, you will be responsible for designing electrical and automation systems for advanced naval vessels. You will work within a cross-functional team to create innovative solutions that meet regulatory standards and enhance commercial proposals. This position will require regular travel between two office locations.

• Assisting in the initial selection of equipment and budget allocation through thorough requirements analysis and drafting engineering specifications.
• Defining the overall system architecture, including creating Single Line Diagrams, Automation Architectures, electrical load balances, and configurations for propulsion systems.
• Evaluating designs based on requirements and preparing comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Drafting technical documentation, contract specifications, and reports that communicate complex concepts clearly to both clients and subcontractors.
• Engaging in technical and commercial discussions with customers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.
• Supporting cost evaluations and ensuring alignment with project goals from subcontractors and internal teams.
• Collaborating with different departments to optimize project delivery and outcomes.
Your qualifications
• Over 3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in complex manufacturing projects within the maritime or tender industries.
• Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to produce clear and persuasive content.
• A commercial mindset, capable of creating viable forecasts and estimates.
• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal; knowledge of Dutch is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential.
• Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required. Candidates with an EU (work) visa or dual nationality (EU and non-EU) are ineligible due to security restrictions associated with the nature of the project.
